In addition she holds appointments on a number of other bodies and advisory groups and she is Chair of the Herefordshire Neighbourhood Watch Association for Hereford and Belmont.

As Hereford City Parish Councillor she is a Member of the Finance and Policy Committee. In June 2011 Glenda was appointed as a member of the Wye Valley NHS Trust.

Glenda Powell is a District Councillor re-elected in May 2011 as an Independent serving Belmont Ward and she is also a Belmont Rural Parish Councillor having been elected unopposed in 2011.
